In five years WIRE-Net's membership community has grown significantly—increasing from just 202 members in 2009 to just over 370 members presently. It is made up of both regional manufacturers and manufacturing supporters interested in strengthening their businesses and fueling our regional economic growth.
For years, manufacturers have reported a sizeable gap between the talent they need to keep growing their businesses and the talent they can actually find. Current data shows that over the next decade nearly 3.5 million manufacturing jobs will need to be filled, and that the skills gap will most likely result in 2 million of those jobs going unfilled.
WIRE-Net’s Annual Meeting was the first official act of duty for these five new WIRE-Net volunteers,
