I enjoyed another great lunch and presentation with WIRE-Net members yesterday at the DoubleTree in Independence. Mark Norfolk, President for Fabrisonic LLC, mapped his own journey in technological design and metal 3D printing advances from 2007 to 2015, while dispelling any fears that his new 3D printing process would be putting forgers or stampers out of business anytime soon! His process creates net-shape solid metal parts using solid state ultrasonic metal welding and CNC contour milling for small orders of specialty parts.
