If details drive a project, then robotics may be taking root in Northeast Ohio factories. Representatives from eleven regional manufacturers participated in a two-hour workshop earlier this month to learn specifics about programming, tooling, and deployment of collaborative robots. Host Jim Tipton of Tipton Machinery Co. and Neff Engineering's Chuck Masluk provided live demonstrations and answered questions on a variety of topics. The program was one of a series by Manufacturing Works that's intended to assist local manufacturers in exploring technology as a solution to ongoing challenges on the factory floor.
