Manufacturing Works is continuing its 30th anniversary with its 2018 Nuts & Bolts Fundraising Bash on Thursday, November 8, 2018. It will take place in the Cibreo Italian Kitchen’s Cibreo Privato located on 1501 E. 14th Street in Cleveland, Ohio. The event will last from 6:00pm to 9:00pm.
Since 2000, money raised from the Nuts & Bolts event has helped support the organization's mission-driven programs and kept the organization functioning. This year attendees will be taken away for "A Night in Tuscany" to enjoy light Italian fare and tastings of Italian wines provided by Cibreo Italian Kitchen. Raffle and silent auction items will be available, as well as some Manufacturing Works swag. A limited number of Manufacturing Works commemorative wine glasses will be handed out at the event.
Celebrating 30 Years of Service to Cleveland's Manufacturing Companies
The organization was founded in 1986 by Cudell Improvement, Detroit Shoreway Community Development Organization, and Stockyard Area Development Association, as the Westside Industrial Retention and Expansion Network (WIRE-Net). That same year John Colm was hired as the organization's first director. Since its beginning the organization has been providing assistance to local manufacturing companies, providing education programs, support in financing through banks or the City, and helping them to make lasting connections that continue to strengthen local business and our economy.
While the organization's membership and reach is a bit different today, the work we started back then still continues to provide direction to companies allowing them opportunities to grow. The economic impact achieved through Manufacturing Works' 30-year history has been felt far beyond the Cleveland area. Our work resonates loudly throughout regional and state economies. We have done a lot of work in the last 30 years and this event will help support our work in the 30 years to come.
General admission to the event is $135 until October 26th and then increases to $150 beginning October 27th. A maximum of 225 people can attend the event, and all guests must RSVP by November 6.
