AISCO Metallizing Corp, WIRE-Net Member Since 2007
AISCO Metallizing Corp, established in 1986, is an industrial operation specializing in thermal-sprayed metallic and alloy coatings. Gary Caprio, owner of AISCO, acquired the Cleveland-based company in November, 2016 from passionate metallizing industry leader, George Stecz.
AISCO's coatings are used to surface coat and repair parts used by industries such as construction, automotive, tire, rubber, and steel production. Besides extending the life of structural parts, metallization can apply electrically, thermally, and chemically resistive or conducive properties to a wide variety of materials.
AISCO has many standard and custom materials that can be applied to customer parts to repair parts, to fix mis-machined parts, and to apply more durable or chemically resistant materials to the surface of new parts. The company also has extremely large finishing machinery. Whether parts need to be machined, turned, ground, or milled, AISCO has the capacity to sand blast, grit blast, and finish machine parts weighing up to 80,000 pounds.
The company has added two employees since Caprio's acquisition and are working to add additional employees this year. Caprio is also developing a technology roadmap that will keep AISCO on the cutting-edge of technology in the metallizing industry.
One of Caprio's passions is keeping AISCO in Cleveland to create jobs, develop and empower employees, and boost the importance and relevancy of the Fleet Avenue, Slavic Village neighborhood, in which the company resides.
"I am interested in working with other area leaders to help stimulate the industrial and commercial growth of our greater Cleveland area. As 2015 alumni of Leadership Cleveland, I want to foster and grow similar relationships with local business and government representatives," says Caprio.
Caprio is new to WIRE-Net and sees great value in their membership, which led to two great contacts in just his first month.
"Everyone involved is passionate about manufacturing and northeast Ohio, and I look forward to working with WIRE-Net and its members to see what actions each of us can take to grow and positively impact our local communities," says Caprio.
