Arkinetics, WIRE-Net Member Since 2000
Since its founding in 1988, Cleveland-based Arkinetics has been a key architectural firm in the region. Bruce Taylor, AIA, founder, and principals Dan Barney, AIA and Robert Powell, AIA are architects with a keen eye for industrial and office design. Cleveland has been their home, and they are surrounded by the world they love—manufacturing. With 30 years in the architecture and construction industry, the firm continues to roll up their sleeves and get onto the manufacturing floor to see just what makes each client special.
"We just love getting inside an industrial building and seeing how they work their magic. Each company has to design, build and manufacture in a way that keeps them competitive . . . . We create buildings around their process and build efficiency into their facility's design."
– Robert Powell, AIA, Principal
In 2015, Robert Powell, AIA joined the firm and leads the Industrial market, bringing 25 years of experience in the architecture industry, and industries such as food production facilities and data centers. Recent projects include: Protech Powder Coatings, Cleveland, OH, National Foods Packaging, Cleveland, OH, New Castle School of Trades, East Liverpool, OH, and Heiland Electronics, Mentor, OH.

This year, Arkinetics celebrates 30 years in the business with a Give Back, Move Forward Campaign. To celebrate, the staff has been challenged to provide 30 hours of community service. Employees who reach the goal will receive a small financial incentive at the end of the year. Together, the company has volunteered with organizations such as Cleveland Kids Book Bank (photos attached) and Cleveland Metro Parks.

As Cleveland has reinvented itself, Arkinetics has been there to help local manufacturers with consulting and analytics that have helped our region grow. Services include architecture planning and design, interior design, historic preservation, urban planning and construction administration. In addition to their 18-year membership in WIRE-Net, the firm belongs to many civic and professional organizations including BOMA Cleveland, Medina County Economic Development Corporation, Women in Manufacturing, and International Code Council. From their office in Cleveland, the firm continues to be a force throughout the country, licensed to work in over 30 states.
Principal Liana Lake serves on WIRE-Net's Resource Development Committee. "Our involvement in WIRE-Net affords access to valuable plant tours, informative luncheons, and great social events such as the annual member picnic and Nuts & Bolt fundraiser," comments Liana.
